SCI offers practical service to the community, and a great way to promote Peace and intercultural exchange and understanding through our Gotong Royong-like activities. It is also very family orientated and my little Isabelle loves to join in.

Workcamp is one of the “core activities” of SCI which sees it as an opportunity for people from various communities and groups coming together – like in a melting pot – thorough service, games, discussion, action-learning, peace education and other activities to have a better understanding and respect of one another.

Workcamps provide an opportunity for individuals to combine their energies and together address problems vital to our shared global future. Whether working at a children's center in Paris, on an environmental project in Colorado, or a skills workshop in Sri Lanka, the volunteers' efforts contribute toward world peacemaking.
